About Fields

Occupying an expansive 2,544-acre site that spans the Dallas North Tollway, Preston Road, and US 380. The development is expected to cost upwards of $12.7 billion.

The project is planned to contain around 14,000 homes and apartments, about 18 million square feet of commercial space, two golf courses and a massive shopping center that rivals Legacy West.

Fields will also be home to the highly anticipated PGA of America's headquarters

In addition, the new Frisco campus of the University of North Texas will be situated within Fields, providing educational opportunities in close proximity to residents. 

What’s New With Fields?

SInce we last touched on Fields in July, there have been several major developments. Just a short drive next to fields, you will see a lot of dirt being moved. Specifically, $200 million dollars of infrastructure is being laid down. This includes Legacy Drive, a major road that will cut through Fields going North and South, and Fields Parkway, which will cut through the developments going East and West. 

Aside from the infrastructure a couple of subdivisions have also started construction. These are Brookside North and Brookside South. Some exciting news for Brookside South is that the amenity center located in this community is slated to open in the first quarter of 2024. 

There is also some more exciting news for the new Universal Studios that will be situated inside of the development so make sure you stick around to hear about it! 

Location

Fields will be located in the northwest part of Frisco and will have easy access to several areas such as: 

DFW International Airport

Fields provides easy access to DFW International Airport, one of the busiest airports globally, offering direct flights to over 260 destinations, including 193 domestic and 67 international locations. 

Dallas Love Field

Another major hub, Dallas Love Field, is also easily accessible from Fields. 

Downtown Dallas

Fields is located just 25 miles north of downtown Dallas. This proximity allows for easy commuting and access to the numerous business, cultural, and entertainment opportunities available in downtown Dallas.

Interstates and Major Highways

Fields enjoys excellent connectivity to interstates and major highways. Residents can easily access these highways, allowing for seamless connectivity to surrounding areas.

Fields will also have its very own farmers' market in the community

Universal Studios

If you didn’t already know, Universal Studios is slated to build a massive, brand new theme park and hotel right within the Field's community. 

And up until just a few days ago, there wasn’t a whole lot of information on the new park. 

But Universal has just released an update that has given it the official name, “Universal Kids Resort.” 

In their newest press release, Universal Studios says that it hopes to “inspire the unbridled creativity of kids through imagination, discovery, and most importantly–play.” They plan to have the resort be physically immersive so you can count on plenty of rides and areas to explore. 

The newest map shows several different sections and a water park that twists and turns throughout the entire development. 

The project has recently broken ground and has already created thousands of jobs in construction. 

There are also currently plans to have 5 massive parking lots so it looks like that won’t be an issue for park-goers. 

Hours for the park were also released and will be from 10:00am to 6:00 pm although there will be some variance for holidays.
