Carrollton is a city, but it’s maintained its quaint town feel, so that’s one of the big draws of living in Carrollton Texas. There’s also a great mix of cultures here, and that means great food, a lot of fun activities, and a diverse population. Carrollton is also great for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Located just outside of the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, Carrollton is a great place to get outside and enjoy nature! There are a few things to keep in mind when you move to Carrollton, however. First off, because it’s got such a great, central location, it also has a little bit of congestion on the roads and some general traffic. There is also a little noise from the dart rail, and there is also a low day on market average for homes here in Carrollton.

Carrollton Texas is a great melting pot of culture and food. Because it’s surrounded by some other larger cities, there’s some great food and activities in the area that make the culture and vibe here really fun and unique.

The outdoors is a really big deal here in the Carrollton Texas area. Arbor Hills Nature Preserve is really close to Carrollton, and it’s a great place to get out and really enjoy the greenery and the peacefulness of this well-known nature preserve in the Dallas Texas area

Carrollton is right smack dab in the middle of the Dallas Texas area. Cities like Plano and Frisco are close by, making it easy to enjoy some of the same amenities that some of the larger cities provide without having to live inside one of the larger, more competitive cities.

Carrollton is also really close to the freeway, so it makes it really easy to get to and from where you need to go in the area.

Another great thing about living in Carrollton Texas is that it’s really close to the airport. With it also being close to the freeway, getting to a flight isn’t a big deal if you live in Carrollton, which makes it an attractive place for people who frequently travel.

There are some toll roads in Carrollton, and with that, you’ll need to either plan to purchase a monthly pass or be prepared to stop and pay along your drive. That being said, the tolls here actually do go towards the nice streets in the area, so at least the tolls actually go towards keeping the community clean and nice!

Because you are so close to the freeway, there is some traffic you have to deal with in Carrollton, especially on the main streets. It’s not horrible, but it’s definitely an increase from what you might normally see in a city or town.

Carrollton has a dart rail system, which can be great for those who like to use public transportation, but it does make a lot of noise. You may not notice it as much if you’re in one of the neighborhoods that’s away from the main hub of Carrollton, but depending on where you’re at in Carrollton, it can definitely add some noise to your daily life.

The housing market is really moving fast in Carrollton, and although it’s not Frisco or Plano, it’s still a competitive environment here, and inventory is low. That’s why you definitely need a good real estate agent on your side if you’re looking for a home here!

Last of all, the homes in Carrollton Texas tend to be a little older, so some updates are in order for a lot of the homes here. However, this town has some really cool home styles, and many homes, when updated, can be complete show stoppers with all their unique charm.
