Fine dining and upscale shopping is pretty limited here in Murphy, but you’ll definitely find a lot of the great eating and shopping in nearby cities like Plano and Frisco, which are not too far.

Murphy is small, but there are some great things to do in the area! Oak Point Park is an amazing 800-acre nature preserve where you can hike, bike, and enjoy the scenery. That’s just over in Plano, so not far from Murphy. You’ll also find your basic amenities, like grocery shopping and budget stores like HomeGoods and Marshall’s within Murphy’s city limits. However, if you’re looking for more of the upscale, or even just more variety with your food and shopping, you can always hop over to Sasche or Wylie, which are also fairly close.

In terms of Murphy Texas real estate, you’re going to find some very beautiful homes for sale in this area. The prices usually start at around $800,000 in this area, and the current inventory is pretty limited. You’ll definitely want to have a good real estate team in place to help you score one of those homes if you’re interested in Murphy, simply because it can be difficult to secure homes in this area right now. That being said, if you’re looking for privacy and nice, new homes, Murphy is a great spot.
